Crypton CCP1000 combined emissions equipment brings petrol gas analysis and diesel smoke measurement together in one workshop system. A useful service enquiry still needs the individual equipment identity, current records and a clear description of the work required.

TPGE handles calibration, servicing and repair enquiries for Crypton emissions equipment subject to the exact model, configuration and workshop postcode. This guide explains how to identify a CCP1000 system and prepare the information our engineers need before confirming coverage, price and visit arrangements.

Identify the exact CCP1000 configuration

The TPGE catalogue lists the Crypton CCP1000-C-EN570 and Crypton CCP1000-B-EN570 combined gas and smoke analyser configurations. The system name is only the starting point. Record the full designation and every serial number shown on the gas analyser, smoke meter, cabinet, computer or connected module that is relevant to the enquiry.

Photographs of the identification plates are helpful when labels use different model names or supplier references. Include the latest calibration certificates and any previous service report so the equipment and renewal dates can be matched correctly.

Gas analyser and smoke meter calibration

A combined station contains separate petrol gas and diesel smoke measuring functions. State whether the gas analyser, smoke meter or both require calibration. Send the current certificate or due date for each instrument rather than assuming that one date covers the complete system.

TPGE confirms the applicable calibration procedure, technician arrangements and equipment coverage for the exact units before booking. Calibration checks measurement performance for the agreed scope; it does not automatically include routine servicing, replacement consumables or fault repair.

For coordinated workshop scheduling, use the MOT equipment calibration service and list every instrument, due date and workshop location.

Describe a CCP1000 fault clearly

If the system is not operating normally, provide the exact wording of any displayed message and say when it appears. Explain whether the problem affects gas analysis, smoke measurement, sample flow, a probe or hose, the computer, software or communication between units. Note whether the fault is permanent or intermittent.

Do not remove covers or attempt electrical work to improve the description. Clear photographs of the display, affected component and identification plate give the engineer a safer and more reliable starting point. If an item was recently replaced, explain what changed and whether the fault was present before the change.

Servicing, consumables and parts

Filters, hoses, probes and other service items need to match the actual analyser and its configuration. Send the original part reference where available, along with the equipment model and serial number. A similar-looking consumable is not enough evidence of compatibility.

Servicing and repair work is scoped separately from calibration. The quotation should identify the planned visit, any parts that can be confirmed in advance and any further investigation that may be required after inspection. Product-page prices do not include a calibration or repair visit unless the quotation expressly includes it.

Repair or replacement planning

An existing system may be repairable, but the decision depends on the fault, parts availability, repeated problems and the work required. A repair assessment should remain separate from a replacement quotation so the workshop can compare the options clearly.

If replacement is being considered, send the current installation details, workshop constraints and required MOT configuration. TPGE can discuss the supplied equipment and installation scope, but the current specification, compatibility, software, connectivity and availability must be confirmed in the quotation.

Prepare your Crypton service enquiry

Include the company and contact details, workshop postcode, full CCP1000 designation, component serial numbers, current certificates or due dates, photographs and a plain-language description of the required work. For several sites, list each system against its own address and dates.

Use the gas analyser and smoke meter calibration and repair checklist for a general preparation list, or send TPGE the equipment details for a quotation. Call 01924 266355 if you need help identifying which labels to photograph.
